'Web-rage' man gets prison term

A man has been jailed for more than two years after carrying out the UK's first "web-rage" attack on an internet user.

"It is accepted by the prosecution that Mr Jones taunted you and dared you to go to his house where you would be greeted with weapons," Judge Richard Hawkins told Gibbons.

Be careful what you wish for people :-)

From experience of managing

From experience of managing forums, it's absolutely no surprise these were middle-aged men.

In the US someone would have died... We have (and use) guns here.

Where I live, if you show up at someones door with an axe handle and machete in hand, your gonna get your fool head blown off...

To me, it just seem like normal argie bargie, nothing to do with web rage, this could just as eaily happen down the pub on an friday / saturday night but the media have attached this web rage horse.

Then he can be Investigating Officer Reverend Doctor Detective Sargeant Jean-Marc Bazzoni-Abdul-Lebosckowicz-Bonjovi.

He doesn't even have to try that hard. Google does all the work FOR you:

No, seriously, though- the Internet is great.

Please. If he's anything like Jean-Claude Van Damme...

I can defeat him by acting my way out of a paper bag.

... Please don't beat me up, Jean-Claude Van Damme.
