There are only two big issues that can blemish the momentum of Google's branding right now...Click Fraud and Privacy. Google's done a pretty good job securing all that data, but ITsecurity.com looks at a few instances when Google dropped the ball on security.

Millions of people trust Google with their personal data every day. While we'd all like to assume that our information is safe, the fact of the matter is that even Google is not hack-proof. All technology is prone to mechanical and human errors that can leave security holes open for exploit, and Google is no exception.

Only one of thease the Gmail on is realy G's fault. and alot of them are proof of concept not in the wild attacks - Google cant be held accountable for stupid users (the universe just invents stupider ones)

Dropping the ball in security would be getting hacked ala Tkmax and having say 45 million CC details go missing. Or having rouge ap's un the googleplex and that people could use to subvert the firewalls.

Yep I found a gaping hole a few months ago in the website of the company that deals with visa applications on behalf on the UK government. Managed to get to see every applicants name, passport number and application ID/date. Got the screenshots here to prove it.

Now that is some crappy security.
