Twitter UK posts Tiny Profit

Twitter's UK operation has filed it's annual accounts and it shows a meagre £16,500 profit.Techradar are reporting that Twitter's profit for their 1st year in their UK office produced a turnover of £3.2Million, delivering a margin of 0.5%

  • Is this a case of a startup depreciating all their startup costs?
  • Is this a case of tax avoidance, of the kind so often seen within the UK and our industry recently?
  • Or does this simply show immature monetisation of the Twitter product?
