"An improved box within search results" rolled out... Still not good news for publishers

By searching "thesaurus.com" in Google, you can now search synonyms straight from the Google results.

On September 5th, Google announced "an improved box within search results" and it appears to have finished rolling out. Thesaurus.com is just one of the sites that was affected.

This isn't the first time Google tested a search box within its own results. The feature was originally launched in 2008 but has been in hibernation for some time.

SEOs still don't think that's a good idea... Would you like to see people playing with your site search and going to one of the advertsers instead of clicking through to YOUR website in the first step?
