Twitter Takes Another Step Toward ECommerce

Twitter has been doing a number of things lately to make it so people can actually buy products through the social media platform. First, you could tweet a link of an Amazon product with the hashtag #amazoncart and have it get added directly to the cart. Then, they selectively introduced the Buy button, allowing you to purchase a product directly through Twitter. Now, you can tweet an Amazon product link using #amazonwishlist to have it added to your wishlist.

I think its more of a novelty than anything else, but its interesting to see the company trying new things. I could see myself adding a new video game to my wishlist or impulse-buying the latest Blipshift shirt if there was a Buy button on it. What do you think, lame gimmick or potential good feature?
