Not-for-profit Lets encrypt advocates for methods for encypting web traffic to be free and easy
Free and easy to implement encyption is the objective of Not-for-profit Lets Encypt
Lets encypt is support by Mozilla, Cisco and others (Google is not on the list in case you're wondering) and wants to make a easy single command line tool method to encypt web traffic and they want to make it free using the support of their sponsors ....although SSL/TLS is not perfect....this is the sign of a shifting tide toward encyption.... Coming just after googles mention of SSL regarding their algorithm, all of this talk taken together may be an indicator in a shift in industry standards...
