GM offers local search features to "in-car shoppers"
GM announced a range of new OnStar services, including one called AtYourService. Basically, when a driver requests directions to one of OnStar's growing list of partners such as Dunkin Donuts or Priceline.com, they are notified of deals. Search Engine Land is calling it a channel to reach in-car shoppers.
It will have a $20 subscription fee, but the bigger selling point for many consumers is that it will turn cars into a WiFi hotspot.
