Google Has Whitelists For Some Algorithms But Not Others, Including Panda and Penguin

In March 2011, Google admitted that they do have whitelists for certain things. Yesterday, Google addressed a question dealing with whitelists, in which they stated that some of their algorithms have whitelists and some of them don't.

Among the algos with whitelists are the SafeSearch algo which sometimes pulls up false positives for adult content.

Among the algorithms that do not have any whitelists include Panda and Penguin - many large or popular websites have been hit by these algorithm updates and these websites are basically stuck until Google updates the algorithm.
