What can you say? What can you say?

Shivers...

..up my spine.

no doubt I would say...

Cheers mates, come visit me...

Mate

I hope he's not an Aussie. We've had enough bagging here lately with the cricket. ;-)

boddingtons

Sounds like a Brit to me, always a good thing BTW.

What the?

Aussies don't say 'Hi Mates' or 'Cheers Mates.'

We say 'G'Day Mate' or 'Cheers Mate' or 'my mates and I' but when we are talking to a group of mates we don't refer to them as the plural 'mates' only when we are talking about them to other people.

So it's pretty darn weird IMO to hear 'Hi Mates' that is something you would expect a visitor from overseas to say trying to be cool.

Oh, did we win the cricket again... must have been playing GB.

WTF?

"Hi Mates".. sounds like a septic tank to me, as Dominic says, we say "G'day mate", mate in the singular, and I've never heard anyone other than a septic tank use this bizarre mixture of words.

Back to the cricket, I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure Shane Warne would have fathered enough illegitimate English born children now to give you a winning team by 2025

I was wrong!

God blimey, its another Pom, but I suppose he lives in the US.

Doesn't seem very

Doesn't seem very comfortable - a desperate attempt to sound keyed in and causal.

Andy you'll be missed

I often disagreed with Andy, but I respected him and his opinion.

Andy put in the time and effort to learn this crazy business and anyone that does that deserves respect, in my opinion.

I don't know who this new guy is, never heard of him before and I don't want to disrespect him as I don't know him... But, I am not going to take any of my time to read what he writes, how do I know if he even has a clue about what we do (Ya I know he is in land based marketing - but how many of those jokers understand what we do).

All I can say is that I hope that Andy is able to start another site or blog so I can go back to disagreeing with him.
