More App Love From Google - This Time to Search Console

You can now track app install button data in Search Console, if that's your thing. Search Engine Land also reports that mobile users are shown an app install button right in mobile SERPs sometimes, too. That's the button that they'll let you track your clicks for. "The report doesn't actually show you who completed the download of your app, but rather just those who clicked on the install button in the search results."

If you'd asked me a year ago about apps, I'd have told you that they were just a fad. Good for adding a fart button or a game to your phone, but you could use the web to shop and stuff. Apps feel more powerful now, as 2015 comes to a close. A lot of folks are predicting that apps are replacing web and mobile traffic. There's a neat discussion at Cre8asiteforums too, which grazes this topic.
