Many search engines have already made efforts to devalue websites that are not mobile friendly. Now up to bat is Russian search engine, Yandex.
Their new algorithm, Vladivostok, will remove pages from Yandex that do not fit small screens, feature horizontal scrolling or include Flash. This is according to Search Engine Land.
Yandex began labeling mobile friendly pages in their search index back in November and had also launched a mobile friendly tool to their Webmaster portal, so many expected this update.
The term "Mobilegeddon" proved to be a large overexaggeration for Google, but perhaps Russian websites will have a bit more of a crisis in the coming days.
