Yahoo acused of hijacking voice technology
Story Text:

Yahoo! have been accused of hijacking an interactive voice technology from Nuance Communications by luring away 13 employees who were about to complete a project that would have been marketed to Yahoo! and others.

They're suing, naturally.

So, rather than pony up the cash, and have to share the tech with others, Yahoo! just lured them all over to Y!HQ with cream buns and cute girls?

We know the recruitment of talent in that area is sniper vs sniper right now, there were stories of Yahoo and Google draining all the local talent dry virtually a couple of months back, but what's it all coming to when companies resort to stealing whole teams to get what they want?

You're supposed to buy the *company*, RC, not just hoover up the talent.... that smacks of using your power and money to achieve things that a smaller company couldn't, and there might be some competition issues there. I'm not sure how US law deals with this
