When Does the Blogosphere Become Saturated? Where Will the Next Hype Lie?

Malcolm Gladwell, one of my favorite authors, recently started a blog. Hip, cool, etc.

On the other end of the spectrum, MC Hammer just started a blog.

He wants to use it to talk about his past

Yes, we know drug dealers and killers. We grew up together. There is only one hood.

and the future:

There is no stopping this movement and you can't contain it. The music was built from the vibrations and the call of the people.

We will dance.

There will be many steps in this dance. Learn the movements. Respect my get down.

Hammertime.

Given the rise to improving spam blog technologies and the originality of many blogs being killed by the Meme trackers and other best post finders are most blogs doomed?

Thanks to somewhat Frank

Someone please explain to hammer...

...how to setup his own domain and retain his content.

Please hammer don't hurt us.

Google should stop approving

Google should stop approving anyone for adsense who signs up with free serviced sites only. Hammer and some others don't user their own domain either, but look at this:

i havent seen a technology solution that can remember me and have a meaningful conversation with me. while i'm not one to underestimate the power of technology, i dont think there's going to be a technology that can do a better job of having a conversation with me than a good blogger can for quite some time.

the problem is that most bloggers are blogging to hear themselves, not to serve an audience. on the other hand, most of the meme trackers and best post finders exist to serve an audience. IMO that pretty much sums up why some technologies are doing a better job of getting attention than many bloggers are.

Sound of Truth

Man did you hit that one out of the park, spot on mate, spot on!
