]"I am going away for a week trip and I want to take my ads off the website on july 20th, when I leave, in case of a click attack when i am not here."[/url] - Is that paranoid or is it justified. This was also reported on seoroundtable

Fruit..

..and nut case.

Call the men with the white coats to take him away.

LMFAO

Fell off my chair...

He should change his name from Therock41 to The41RocksInMyHead

Mind you, this paranoia is for less than $1000:

I got my adsense account in April 2004 and i have got checks for 100-500 dollars every month or 2 months...

Hell, if this person made any serioous coin from AdSense he'd be under a doctor's supervision!

in a third world country

in a third world country $500 is a lot of money, but if he is in the US he is a true nutter.

It gets weird

You decide for yourself...

This SitePoint thread selling his site is a scream. There's an adsense account on the site being offered for sale, but it doesn't function, banned or just barred from running on that site?

Saw this on NamePros "account suspended" - nearly fell off my chair

And this thread with the link to the picture is priceless.

A different name trying to sell the same domain a couple of months earlier

Here someone connects the dots to TheRock41 and MIkeBlack

I pass no judgement, but it's mildly amusing...

I am starting to doubt

I am starting to doubt Google's methods of finding fraud .. It's just not viable yet ..

If I click the ads of any site I want, 50 times per hour, the guy will probably have it's account banned.

Ignorant

As someone that was maliciously click bombed I can tell you that there are MANY uninformed people.

Google are a joke when it comes to detecting adsense fraud... and they most definately aren't in the slightest bit interested in listening to what you have to say in your defence.

Oh, and if you ever manage to signup to adsense again (eg. change of address), don't bother putting adsense on the same site, that's a quick way to get your account terminated.

When my account was terminated it was because one day I had roughly three times as many clicks as impressions.

If anyone knows how I can get my account reinstated, I'd love to hear from you.

reinstated

That topic has been covered many times and people have been reinstated.

Check out some threads on WMW on this issue.

FYI, the best thing to do when you see an unusual spike is write to Google ASAP and tell them you think your account might be under attack. Not contacting Google is an implication of conspiracy to commit fraud by being silent and not letting them that YOU know there's a problem.

Think about it, you get outrageously high clicks one day and don't say anything, they probably assume you're behind it.

So in the case of the guy that wants to go on holidays... you think he is conspiring to commit fraud because he can't be constantly watching his account?

The most basic fraud prevention at Google should have prevented the problem that occurred with my account. Though lets be honest, each click is money to them so they really aren't particularly concerned if someone clicks an ad 50 times, even if they only actually looked at the ad once! If they were serious about preventing fraud, then perhaps they should consider only counting one click per ad per ip??? or at least one click per ad per impression.

what a load

Proof of the infected Google world we are living in. I still can't believe you said that, bill.

Afraid that Bill has been..

..spending too much time reading the WMW AdSense forum.

Those can be natural ..

And from that I draw that I am the fraud filter for Google ? That's funny.. Let me click your ads 50 times per day for 3 days, exactly when you're at the sea with the family. When you come back you'll have your account disabled.
