Yahoo Fumbles ESPN Ad Deal

It looks like Yahoo fumbled the ESPN ball. Lately this has been a growing trend as larger firms that have the resources to build their own PPC system have been doing such to keep the revenue inhouse rather than splitting it with providers.

This has been making sense for firms that have decent traffic and resources to build or buy ad systems.. and it does appear to be a growing trend.

Yes, and just for giggles, go insert sophomoric phrases into their search engines and watch the ebay-like ads show up in the sidebar. What Google bans, many of these "other" systems let righ thru. They are also apparently much cheaper than AdSense, because there are many, many firms now catching virtual all the useless phrases including Lycos "find (whatever) on Lycos".
