Craigslist founder says he won't cash in

On the heels of the myspace $15BN story here's Craig's take:

The founder of craigslist, the free social networking and classifieds Web site, said on Thursday he is not interested in selling out, a few hours after social networking site MySpace was valued at $15 billion. "Who needs the money? We don't really care," Craig Newmark said in an interview at the Picnic '06 Cross Media Week conference here.
MySpace was acquired by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. for $580 million less than a year ago. It now boasts more than 90 million active users, against 10 million monthly users of craigslist.

I don't know Craiglist's traffic but I'm sure each pageview is about 100 times more valuable than in Myspace.

90 million

That 90 million active users claim has already been proven to be very questionable at best anyway.

CL is quietly working it's

CL is quietly working it's influence, regardless of the public statements. Where MySpace wants to shout out how great it is, CL seems to want to stay quiet about just how easily it exerts influence on markets and public opinion.

and how many of those 'users' are 'real', huh?
