'Enemies of the internet' Named By Reporters Without Borders

Human rights group 'Reporters Without Borders' has released a list of 13 enemies of the internet. The list consists of countries the RSF believe are "supressing freedom of expression on the internet."

Egypt is a new entrant and has been shortlisted for its attitude to bloggers rather than specific web censorship, said RSF.

"Three bloggers have been arrested and detained this year for speaking out in favour of democratic reform. This is an appeal to the Egyptian government to change its position," said the RSF spokesman.

Google and Yahoo have been much criticised about their support of Chinas web filtering and they are named in the list with 12 others.
