Btw - the meeting is hardly secret, they've told everyone that they're going...

guesses...

affilliate system - pay per sale/lead
transfer money between adwords and adsense
adsense in xml format

XML format

Hi Eadz,

As someone who's admitedly behind on XML, i'm not sure what you mean. Care to explain just a bit more?

Wonder if we'll get any more in terms of stats.

xml

It means you can format the ads as you wish, on the server side. Rather than being served as javascript as they are now. Insert them into RSS feeds etc. This is what an AdSense competitor is offering right now.

thanks

yea, that's great point ukgimp. Those ad blockers suck (for the publishers).

Would be nice if they could do something to allow us to specify which sites we are adding adsense to in order to prevent mischievous borrowing of our publisher ID.

XML/API - great stuff

Only problem I see with serverside adsense is that this part of the page will be indexed so those "made for adsense" sites will have free on topic content. I expect the links will have rel=nofollow too ;O)

It's about bloody time we had an adwords api - once you have a lot of clients and campaigns the dodgy interface cries out for automation :O)

that is not really a problem if they enforce solid program guidelines.

they call it "global conference"

Gleaned from part of a mail a client got from Google rep:

Sales and Operations teams are attending a global conference this week - Does this means The creation of new routes to our advertisers pockets
?

>especially with the onset on

>especially with the onset on ... some settings block adsense units.

Exactly. With FF, in far less than a minute's tinkering I can strip adsense globally from every site I'll ever visit. That's not so easy w/ XML delivered ads.

More cash please

I get 40% from espotting - what does G pay? 5% ?
