Facebook Users from the US, UK, Mainland Europe and Japan Are Leaving

Social networking users get tired of Facebook & seek alternatives The Guardian reports based on a recent study:

"In the last month, the world's largest social network has lost 6m US visitors, a 4% fall, according to analysis firm SocialBakers. In the UK, 1.4m fewer users checked in last month, a fall of 4.5%. The declines are sustained. In the last six months, Facebook has lost nearly 9m monthly visitors in the US and 2m in the UK"

can't say I feel sorry for them...

Facebook has been pretty consistent about ignoring its users' concerns for privacy and the changes they make seem to be internally generated without any significant feedback from users. There are too many choices available for social interaction for any platform to be so cavalier about its members' concerns.
Granted, my opinion may be a little slanted, because the only real use I have for FB is catching up with my grandkids. ;)

It has had bigger falls than that!

facebook has had bigger falls than that in the past and it has recovered and passed it's old records. Are these figures seasonally adjusted? Remember this is the guardian we are talking about here!!! Go have a look at Alexa pageviews over the holiday periods can go even lower but that is the same for every site on the web. With 36% increase in profit over last year I doubt Facebook is to concerned.
