Well it gives people something to talk about.
Could be a cool marketing move by Yahoo - start the Yahoo dance, get everyone in the community talking about Yahoo once month, get loads of users coming back to Yahoo every day checking their rankings hoping to be first to spot the next dance.

Damn good point Kali, didnt even cross my mind but now you mention it, it'd be a damn smart move IMO - I remember when i once spotted the G dance over at WMW, i was a very proud bunny indeed. Sad but true...
