Bing and Duck Duck Go gaining market share in desktop search

2016 might be the year Bing actually takes command of desktop search. Bing itself is responsible for around 20% of organic search. However - as of this past weekend - it now powers AOL search on all device types. This, along with its ads which appear on 51% of Yahoo Results on desktops, make Bing responsible for about 1/3 of desktop searches.

Duck Duck Go improved from an average of 7.7 million daily searches in January 2015 to 10.8 million daily searches in December 2015. Though this is major growth for the property, it still trails Bing and Google for market share.

Stat Counter suggests Google still dominates mobile search with more than 90% of the market share.
