Google is Labeling Your Links

In an interview with Gary Illyes of Google, Illyes revealed that Google's manual action team has the ability to look at your links and read their "labels."

These labels include things like "disavowed," "Penguin affected," "footer link," and probably more. Apparently they use these labels to figure out if Google should look deeper at the site's links and possibly dole out a manual action.

We're getting little drips and dabs like this every day which foretell the new world that comes with a real-time Penguin. What other changes do you think have happened in the background?
