Traffic Power Skeletons Dragged out of the Closet
WSJ Dissects Traffic Power Complaints & Search Engine Bans
Traffic Power, those nice chaps that cold call you then get your site banned must be having a lovely time right about now. The WSJ is retelling their story in light of the new lawsuit against SEOBook. The link is paid sub only, so fuck 'em, here's Danny's summary:
WSJ Dissects Traffic Power Complaints & Search Engine Bans
These complaints all came out last year, so they aren't new. This is just a fresh retelling in light of the lawsuit. For its part, Traffic Power says ranking drops for most clients were due to search engines changing their indexing methods, not something they did.
The story further dives into Traffic Power having an "army" of cold-callers, according to former employees, and that over 100 complaints have been filed against the company with the Better Business Bureau. It also discusses how after the complaints, the company starting using other names such as 1P.com and First Place.

Thats what I say too every time one of my cloaked scraper sites loose indexing or rankings :)
Comon guys! I don't really have a problem with the fact that you produce crap but please be honest about it - not the least to your clients. We all know crap can work but we also know (or should) that the more crappy (some call it "spammy") it is the higher the risk of loosing rankings.
Very telling comment in the article....
