Alexa: They Like You Google ... They Really Really Like You
I know Alexa isn't the most accurate piece of data on the planet, but according to their traffic ranking reports Google is now the #2 ranked traffic site knocking MSN down to third. Yahoo who's sitting in the number 1 slot better look out.
Personally I really have to question the accuracy here. I have a few keywords that I'm buying in Adwords, Overture and MSN Adcenter. Google consistently has more searches and brings me more traffic for the terms than MSN and Yahoo. It's usually between 2-3 times the traffic but has been as high as 8-9 times the traffic on some keywords. So if you're buying or lucky enough to have similar organic placement on all three how do your numbers pan out?

Apples and Oranges
Yahoo has a lot more to do on their site than Google, the whole Yahoo world isn't just search. Yahoo is a destination for many people looking up TV schedules, movie showtimes, stocks, playing games, etc. so Google will need more destination type features to increase traffic.
In Europe
In Europe, otherwise known as Googleland, at a minimum 5 times as many visitors for the same position but usually more like 10x.
(Talking of pure English-language sites only - multi-lingual sites tend to be even higher for Google.)
I agree with the first poster
Yahoo is the largest media company in the world. People don't go to Yahoo just to search the web, and using your ad results as a basis to gauge another site's traffic ranking is absurd.
Half
I believe half their traffic comes from their mail if you look at the breakdown on Alexa.

Priceless
Title of this thread, priceless!
;)
and do remember yahoo
and do remember yahoo redirects all their international domain traffic to their .com domain. but google doesn't.
Touught I Would Mention
I know many of us already know this but Alexa rankings are tallied from only those users which actually have the Alexa toolbar installed. This is a very small amount of people. Alexa stats are only a sample of what could be a more large scale reality but it is far from accutate.
When you get to the top few
When you get to the top few sites I would imagine the sampling error is rather small. Plus the sampling error would be away from Google due to their international domains and their audience profile typically being more tech savvy.
