Google launches Code Search

Google Code Search launched a short while ago. It allows you to search through public source code. For example, searching for "grep"

It supports keyword search as well as regular expression searches and some other special refinement parameters like confining a search to code written in a particular languages, licenses, or files. For example, search for "lang:perl foreach"

This may be pretty useful, considering how many times I've tried to find example code for particular applications I've been writing.

Will definitely be passing this along to a developer friend or two.

Not all sites indexed?

Seems like not all sites appear in the results...
Can be a really good tool.

Yea it could be good if you wrote scripts and to see if people kept the copywright in the comments...
